PE Scholar provides a wide range of professional development for teachers,
coaches and education professionals working in physical education, sport and
physical activity. This is predominantly, but not exclusively, to an education
audience. The nature of delivery is varied but is focused on building professional
confidence, competence, knowledge and understanding across physical
education pedagogy, Physical Literacy, curriculum design and supporting teachers
in their wider role.
During 2023 we delivered 58 in-person and online sessions, conference keynotes
and conference workshops. PE Scholar also offered an additional 16 online asynchronous bitesize, short and blended learning courses, of which two were new for 2023 – ‘Meaningful PE’ and
‘Preparing to Become a Primary PE Teacher.’
500 delegates completed feedback following our training and delivery. Overall (n-500), 98% of delegates said they strongly agreed (n-305) or agreed (n-183) that the session they attended was helpful and informative to their practice. An average overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 was achieved for delivery in 2023.
