This lesson plan template is great for planning and reflecting on lessons, It only takes five minutes to complete and is dynamic in its approach. You could complete the lesson plan prior to the lesson or engage students by getting them to complete sections within the lesson.
I have used this on a number of occasions and it has helped me plan and deliver some fantastic lessons. Let me know what you think, or if you have come across a better template.
Love for my afterschool clubs! Thanks!
Hi Mandy, It would be great if you could upload some of your completed lesson plans, this would allow other users to see how to use it for for after-school clubs. I can upload it to this page which will help others and improve the versatility of this concept. Let me know what you think?
Hi Liz, Love the the flow of this template, can you tell me what AfL stands for. Thanks.
Hi Gretchen,
Glad you like the resource! AFL stands for Assessment For Learning or is sometimes it is referred to as assessment of learning. Basically, this section of the dynamic lesson plan can be used to identify strategies that you may use to check student progress or learning, such as the use of questioning, peer review, self check etc. I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Liz
Hi Liz – LOVE this model and am trying it out with my pre-service elementary PE teachers today!
Thanks Doug, please do let me know how it goes. If you want to adapt it I can upload it to this post and then we could have a range of dynamic lesson plans. It would be interesting to see if UK planning needs are similar or different to USA (and other countries) needs.
