This Sprint Athletics activity prompt card has been created to give a broad overview of the most important rules, common misconceptions and key teaching points for 4 of the main identified skills for sprint athletics ( start, acceleration phase, drive phase, recovery and deceleration).
For more information check out England Athletics but this resource will help to highlight the basics. The common misconceptions are those most frequently seen by beginners that are likely to limit their development and therefore it is important that you are able to spot and correct these quickly when teaching Sprinting in Athletics.
