This resource is ideal for use on and in the lead up to World Poetry Day (21st March). Or drop everything and read initiatives. These sporting poems can be used as an active starter activity by being cut up into sections and students having to run to different locations to collect and complete the poem. Or they can be used as a stimulus to provoke debate and discussion in relation to sport and physical activity.
